SceneLink (“SceneLink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, process, and disclose information when you use the SceneLink mobile application and related services (the “App”).
By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy and consent to the practices described herein.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through:
- The SceneLink mobile application
- Google Calendar integrations
- Notifications and location features
- Our website and related services
It does not apply to third-party websites, services, venues, or events that may be referenced within the App.
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide
When you create an account or use the App, we may collect:
Account Information
- Phone number
- Email address (including via Google Sign-In)
- Google account authentication details
- Display name
- Age confirmation
- Profile photo (optional)
User Role Information
- Account type (regular user or admin/organizer)
Event Information
When events are created, synced, or imported, we may collect and store:
- Event titles
- Descriptions
- Dates and times
- Locations
- Event images
- Organizer details
- Events synced from connected Google Calendars
All event data entered or synced becomes part of the App’s operational content and may be displayed to users. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of information you provide.
B. Google Calendar Data
If you connect a Google Calendar:
- We access only the calendar data you authorize via Google OAuth.
- We may retrieve event metadata (title, time, description, location).
- Data may be temporarily stored to support synchronization.
- We do not sell or use Google Calendar data for advertising.
You may revoke Google Calendar access at any time through your Google account settings. SceneLink is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or legality of calendar events synced from third-party sources.
C. Automatically Collected Information
Through Firebase and related services, we may collect:
- Device type
- Operating system
- IP address
- App version
- Usage metrics
- Crash logs
- Performance diagnostics
This data is used to maintain security, stability, and functionality.
D. Location Information
With your permission, we may collect precise GPS location or approximate location data to:
- Display nearby events
- Enable map functionality
- Improve event discovery
Location access is optional and can be disabled at any time in your device settings. We do not continuously track users outside active App usage.
E. Notifications
If enabled, we may send push notifications related to:
- Events
- App updates
- Community announcements
You may disable notifications at any time via device settings.
3. How We Use Information
We may use collected information to:
- Operate and maintain the App
- Authenticate users
- Sync and display events
- Provide location-based features
- Enable voting and engagement
- Prevent fraud or abuse
- Enforce policies
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell personal information.
4. Data Storage & Security
Data is stored using Firebase and related infrastructure providers. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards including encrypted data transmission, authentication protections, and access controls.
However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information transmitted or stored. By using the App, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
5. Data Retention
We retain information as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce Terms of Service.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting: admin@scenelink.fun. Certain data may be retained where required by law.
6. Sharing of Information
We may share information:
- With service providers (e.g., Firebase, Google)
- To comply with legal requests
- To protect safety or rights
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale
We do not share personal information for advertising purposes.
7. User-Generated Content & Public Visibility
Events and certain profile information may be visible to other users. You acknowledge that content you submit may be publicly viewable within the App. SceneLink does not verify event organizers, and we do not guarantee the accuracy or safety of user-submitted content. You share information at your own discretion and risk.
8. Adult Content & Risk Acknowledgment
SceneLink may be used to discover adult-oriented or community events. By using the App, you acknowledge that you are at least 18 years old, you voluntarily choose to view and engage with event listings, SceneLink does not supervise, endorse, or verify events, and participation in any event is entirely at your own risk. SceneLink is not responsible for the conduct of users, organizers, or third parties.
9. No Warranty
The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of event information, availability of services, safety of events, or reliability of third-party integrations. Your use of the App is at your own risk.
10. International Users
If you access the App outside the United States, you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.
11. Your Rights
You may request access to your data, request deletion, revoke Google access, and manage device permissions by contacting admin@scenelink.fun.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the App after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
